What is Kubernetes?

Kubernetes (also known as k8s or “kube”) is an open source container orchestration platform that automates many of the manual processes involved in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications.

In other words, you can cluster together groups of hosts running Linux® containers, and Kubernetes helps you easily and efficiently manage those clusters.

Kubernetes clusters can span hosts across on-premise, public, private, or hybrid clouds. For this reason, Kubernetes is an ideal platform for hosting cloud-native applications that require rapid scaling, like real-time data streaming through Apache Kafka.

Kubernetes was originally developed and designed by engineers at Google. Google was one of the early contributors to Linux container technology and has talked publicly about how everything at Google runs in containers. …

  • In this, we are going to set up a VM such that it can connect to google but not to Facebook
  • Let’s jump into the scenario
  • First, let’s delete the rule for connection.
route -n

  • Here we have a rule — dest is neutral IP so that our VM from our gateway can go anywhere in the world.
  • Let’s ping google and Facebook and check our connectivity.
ping google.com
ping facebook.com

CHALLANGES.
NASA needed to move roughly 65 applications from a traditional hardware-based data center to a cloud based environment for better agility and cost savings. The agency migrated many of its applications “as-is” to a cloud environment as a result of the rapid timeline. This created an environment spanning multiple virtual private clouds and AWS accounts it could not easily manage.
Even simple things, like ensuring every system administrator had access to every server or simple patching, were extremely burdensome.

FIX.
To remedy this, NASA turned to Red Hat and Ansible Tower to manage and schedule the cloud environment. Ansible by Red Hat is a simple-to-use IT automation engine that transforms the repetitive, inefficient tasks of software release cycles into predictable, scalable and simple processes. It automates cloud provisioning, application deployment, configuration management and service orchestration to let developers spend more time on their work and help operations more easily support deployment pipelines. …

What is an AI?
AI is a set of concepts, tools, and techniques that represents huge disruptive and transformative potential. Definition-wise, we can think of AI simply as intelligence exhibited by machines that can be used in a beneficial way (e.g., carrying out tasks, making decisions, assisting humans, saving lives). More specifically, AI describes when a machine is able to learn from information (data), generate some degree of understanding, and then use the knowledge learned to do something. AI includes machine learning and specific techniques such as deep learning as subsets.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) involves using computers to do things that traditionally require human intelligence. This means creating algorithms to classify, analyze, and draw predictions from data. It also involves acting on data, learning from new data, and improving over time. Just like a tiny human child growing up into a (sometimes) smarter human adult. …

Hello everyone !!
In this blog we are going to see how to interact with AWS console with CLI from our windows system.
Since we can launch any number of instances at AWS management console but we have certain limitations.
To use AWS in our own command prompt we need to install AWS on our system and have to configure it.
This has more privileges but we can’t access IAM using AWS CLI.

Now we are going to see some few basics commands for launching instance.

→ Creating key-pair.
→ Creating Security groups.
→ Launching Instances.
→Creating Volume(EBS). …

“Amazon Kinesis Data Streams processes multiple terabytes of log data each day, yet events show up in our analytics in seconds. We can discover and respond to issues in real time, ensuring high availability and a great customer experience.”

John Bennett
Senior Software Engineer, Netflix

Netflix uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for nearly all its computing and storage needs, including databases, analytics, recommendation engines, video transcoding, and more — hundreds of functions that in total use more than 100,000 server instances on AWS. …

In today’s world data is everything. For every action we do, data has been recorded.Data with high speed and high volume. It’s not easy to make data persistent. Even though some how we can manage it and store, but there comes one problem I/O. Manipulation of data with huge amount will obviously takes some more time. Today most of the giant companies facing this problem because of huge data. FB reveals that they process around 500 TB data per day. Where it has been stored? How it has been stored? and How they are manipulating these huge amount of data?
